Pyramids of Giza

These amazing structures are considered one of the seven wonders of the world and the most important site in Egypt.

The site at Giza boasts the Pyramid of Kheops, Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mycerinous) which are guarded by the mysterious Sphinx, a mythical statue with the body of a lion and the head of a human being.

The Great Pyramid houses the tomb of Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops). There are also several smaller pyramids known as “Queens”.

The solar boats of Cheops has lately been discovered and is now exhibited in a special museum south of his pyramid.
